Enough Is Enough” – Peter Okoye Rejects Twin Comparisons
Peter Okoye, widely known as Mr P, has urged fans and music lovers to stop comparing him with his twin brother and former P-Square partner, Paul Okoye, popularly called Rudeboy, as he continues to build his identity as a solo artiste.
According to Ireporter Online, the award-winning singer made the appeal during an interview on Cool FM, stressing that he is focused on carving out his own path in the music industry without the distraction of constant comparisons.
Mr P explained that every artiste has a unique journey and should be appreciated for their individual talent and accomplishments. He emphasized his desire to be recognized for his personal achievements rather than being measured against his brother or any other entertainer.
The singer maintained that his priority is to remain true to himself, pursue his own musical vision, and enjoy the rewards of his hard work without external pressure. He declared that there is no one like him and insisted that he wants to thrive on his own terms.
Reflecting on the reunion of the iconic P-Square duo, Mr P revealed that his solo career had been experiencing remarkable growth before reuniting with Rudeboy. He noted that his social media presence was expanding rapidly at the time, with thousands of new followers joining his Instagram account daily.
According to the singer, that momentum slowed significantly after the reunion, affecting the steady progress he had established as an independent artiste. Despite the challenges, he reaffirmed his commitment to his solo career and called on supporters to embrace his individuality rather than compare him with his twin brother.
