Why Alex Ekubo Has Kept His Wife’s Identity Private – Uche Jombo Reveals Reason

According to Ireporter Online, Nollywood actress Uche Jombo has expressed displeasure following the circulation of photos and videos believed to show the wife of late actor Alexx Ekubo, which surfaced online shortly after a service of songs held in his honour.

The images, which began trending across social media platforms, quickly drew public attention and renewed interest in aspects of the actor’s private life that were previously unknown to many fans.

Reacting via her social media page, Jombo criticized the widespread sharing of the content, stressing that the late actor had deliberately kept his relationship away from the public to protect his wife’s privacy. She noted that even close associates respected his decision, adding that the woman had attended the service of songs discreetly while wearing a face mask, yet her identity was still exposed online.

In her words, she lamented that the intent to maintain privacy was disregarded by bloggers, despite efforts made to shield the woman from public scrutiny.

Prior to his passing, speculation had often surrounded Alexx Ekubo’s marital status, with many fans unaware that he had reportedly contracted a private marriage. Some colleagues, including Grace Makun, had previously hinted at his marriage while acknowledging his decision to keep it away from public view.

The development was later confirmed by members of his family after his death, while actor Williams Uchemba also acknowledged the marriage in an interview, though he declined to provide further details, stating that the actor valued his privacy.

Alexx Ekubo passed away on May 11 at the age of 40. His family revealed that he died following complications related to advanced metastatic kidney cancer after a private battle with illness.
