Falconets Ready to Shine at FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, Says Coach Danjuma
Head coach of Nigeria’s U20 women’s football team, Chris Danjuma, has expressed confidence in the Falconets’ readiness as they embark on their journey at the 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup. Danjuma reassured fans that the team is fully prepared and free of injuries, setting high expectations for their performance in the tournament.
The Nigerian squad recently concluded a two-week intensive training camp in Bogota, Colombia, where they fine-tuned their strategies and tactics. Their preparation included two friendly matches: a solid 3-1 victory against Australia and a narrow 1-0 defeat to Mexico. Despite the mixed results, Danjuma remains optimistic about his team’s chances.
“I am very happy that we have no case of injury in camp. The girls are all ready to go out there and make Nigeria proud,” Coach Danjuma said, emphasizing the team’s focus and determination.
The Falconets have a strong legacy in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, having reached the finals twice in previous editions. With a blend of experience and youthful energy, they are poised to make a significant impact in this year’s tournament.
As the competition kicks off, Nigerian fans are hopeful that the Falconets will continue their tradition of excellence and bring glory to the nation on the world stage.
