According to Ireporter Online, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun collating results for the Federal Capital Territory Area Council elections at the Kubwa Registration Area Centre. The exercise commenced around 6:15 pm at LEA Primary School, Kubwa II, following the conclusion of voting across polling units.

Presiding Officers arrived at the centre with their results and recorded the figures into Form EC8A, while INEC officials also employed electronic devices to process the results. Both manual and electronic methods were used to ensure accuracy, with figures cross-checked against those uploaded earlier to the INEC Results Viewing Portal via the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS).

An INEC official confirmed that all Presiding Officers had transmitted their results through the BVAS prior to arriving at the collation centre. The process involved verifying that the electronically submitted results matched the manually recorded figures before forwarding them to the Area Council offices for further collation.

Mrs. Okoye Adeiza explained that staff from the Operations department managed the laptops, while the ICT team handled the BVAS devices. Both teams worked in coordination to confirm the consistency of results from the polling units before moving them to the local government level.
