Final Farewell: Late Controller Adebayo-Oyun Laid To Rest In Kwara-State

The late Controller of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Kwara State command, Adeyinka Adebayo Oyun, has been laid to rest in his country home, Ipee, in Oyun Local Government Area of the state.

Controller Oyun passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, and his final rites were performed on Saturday, June 1, 2024.

The official interment ceremony was marked by a solemn body parade and a poignant 21-gun salute by officers and men of the service, paying tribute to their departed colleague.

Dignitaries from across the country graced the occasion, including representatives of the Executive Governor of Kwara State, the Deputy Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Olayiwola Oyebode Ojo, and the Chief Judge of Kwara State, Justice Ayodele Abiodun Adebara. Also present were the Controller General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, represented by Deputy Controller General of Corrections, Akinrujomu Tosin, as well as heads of various Armed Forces and Paramilitary Agencies within and outside the state.

The solemn ceremony not only bid farewell to a dedicated public servant but also honored his legacy and service to the nation. Controller Adebayo Oyun’s contributions to the correctional service and his impact on the lives of those he served were remembered with reverence and respect.
