First Lady Condoles Victims of Karu Tanker Explosion

In a statement issued on Thursday, Mrs. Tinubu extended her sympathies to the families of the deceased and the injured, as well as to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and residents impacted by the disaster.

She expressed sorrow over the tragic loss of lives and properties, noting the devastating impact on the livelihoods of the affected individuals. “I commiserate with the families of the deceased and injured, the residents, and business owners who have been affected. This is a painful loss,” she remarked.

The First Lady also urged vehicle owners, particularly those operating articulated trucks, to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy to prevent such catastrophic events in the future. “I encourage owners and drivers of vehicles, especially articulated ones, to ensure their trucks are in good condition before they are put on the road. This is essential in preventing similar incidents,” she added.

Mrs. Tinubu prayed for the souls of those who perished in the explosion, offering strength to their families to cope with the loss and wishing a speedy recovery to those injured.
