The book recounts his multiple arrests and struggles as an investigative reporter fighting for democracy in Nigeria.

In the book, Ojudu describes how, during a period of illness and without medical treatment, he resorted to drinking his urine after reading about its purported healing properties. He credits the faith he placed in the remedy for his recovery. Ojudu emphasized the dedication of Nigerians who risked everything for the country’s democratic cause, and the unwavering commitment of journalists in their pursuit of truth despite facing persecution.
