Full List Emerge As Tinubu Redeploys Ministers-designate, Renames Environment Ministry

On Sunday, President Bola Tinubu made several ministerial redeployments among the designated ministers:

  1. Adegboyega Oyetola, former Governor of Osun State, was moved from the Ministry of Transportation to the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.
  2. Abubakar Momoh, another minister-designate, was shifted from the Federal Ministry of Youth to the Federal Ministry of Niger Delta Development.
  3. A minister-designate, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, was reassigned to the Ministry of Interior.
  4. Sa’idu Alkali, a minister-designate, was redeployed to the Ministry of Transportation.

Additionally, the Ministers of State in the Oil & Gas sector have been relocated to the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources:

  • Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri is now the Hon. Minister of State (Oil), Petroleum Resources.
  • Hon. Ekperipe Ekpo holds the position of Hon. Minister of State (Gas), Petroleum Resources.

Furthermore, the President has approved the change of name for the Federal Ministry of Environment and Ecological Management, which will now be known as the Federal Ministry of Environment.

These changes have taken immediate effect as confirmed by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale in a statement. Last week, President Tinubu allocated portfolios to the 45 ministers-designate, reserving the Ministry of Environment for Kaduna State.
