Gov Mbah Launches Groundbreaking Experiential Learning Centre For Smart Schools In Enugu

Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has officially inaugurated the construction of a Centre for Experiential Learning and Innovation at the Enugu State College of Education (Technical). This centre is a pivotal element in the state’s Smart Green School initiative, designed to enhance teacher training in digital technologies, mechatronics, AI, and robotics.

The new facility will feature 25 model classrooms, an ICT hub, and an e-library. It aims to prepare teachers with hands-on experience essential for effective teaching in Enugu’s 260 smart schools. The governor, represented by Education Commissioner Prof. Ndubueze Mbah, emphasized that this initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to advancing educational standards and achieving zero poverty in the state.

Governor Mbah highlighted that the project, funded by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TetFund), positions Enugu as a leader in educational innovation. He praised TetFund for its support and expressed hopes that the project’s success will inspire similar initiatives nationwide.
