According to Daily Trust, the victims, Musa Baba and his wife, Fatima Baba, were struck by the vehicle while they were heading home. Musa died instantly at the scene, while Fatima succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

The victims have since been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites. The Deputy Imam of Abaji Central Mosque, Ishaq Baba Tsana, led the funeral prayers at the Abaji Science Primary School.

Yahaya Musa Muhammad (ARADA), a community leader, expressed his condolences to the family and the entire Bassa Community of Abaji. He offered prayers for the deceased, asking Allah to grant them Jannah and provide comfort to their family and friends.

“We will continue to pray Allah to forgive them their shortcomings and grant them an exalted place in Jannah,” Dr. Musa said.
