An Enugu family has been thrown into celebration after a woman delivered quadruplets—four healthy baby boys—at a private hospital in Port Harcourt on Thursday, April 16, 2026, despite multiple antenatal scans consistently indicating a twin pregnancy.

According to reports, the unexpected outcome has sparked intense emotional reactions within the family, as relatives disclosed that no medical examination throughout the pregnancy ever suggested the presence of four babies until the moment of delivery.

The situation reportedly escalated when the woman went into labour, prompting an urgent response from family members who travelled from Enugu to Port Harcourt to be present at the hospital and support the delivery process.

The newborns’ uncle, who recounted the experience, said he rushed down after receiving a distress call and was met with heightened tension at the hospital. He described the children’s father as overwhelmed with emotion, noting that the pressure of the emergency situation nearly caused him to collapse before the successful operation.

According to him, “I left Enugu in a hurry when my brother called that his wife was in labour. When I got there, I met a man I have always known as strong, crying like a child because of the pressure and fear. Even when doctors said it would be a C-section, he almost fainted but after everything, God blessed us with four boys, not the twins we were expecting.”

Medical personnel at the facility reportedly confirmed that the delivery was successful, adding that both the mother and the four newborns are in stable condition following the procedure.
