I Chose My Path” – Chef T Reflects On 9-Year Journey From Christianity To Islam

Popular food creator Chef T has opened up about her spiritual journey, revealing that she transitioned from Christianity to Islam over the past nine years. According to Ireporter Online, she emphasized that the decision was entirely her own and that she was never pressured by her husband or his family, despite marrying into a Muslim home.

I’ve been practicing Islam for the past nine years. I was born into a Christian family, but I married a Muslim. I wasn’t forced into Islam at all. Before my marriage, my in-laws held discussions for weeks to help me understand Islam—they never forced me,” Chef T explained.

She also noted that her parents supported her decision, providing the encouragement that allowed her to fully embrace her new faith.

Chef T described her journey as gradual, stressing the importance of knowledge and understanding rather than rushing into religious commitments. “Over the course of nine years, I am still growing into Islam. You cannot make a decision for yourself without seeking knowledge. This is the first Ramadan where I will read the Quran to understand, and Alhamdulillah, I’m enjoying Islam to the fullest,” she added.

She concluded by highlighting that true religion goes beyond ritual practice, focusing instead on how individuals treat others and the values they carry within themselves.
