I Don’t Like Them” — Nyesom Wike Reacts To People’s Democratic Party Supreme Court Ruling, Says African Democratic Congress Still Facing Crisis
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has stated that the recent Supreme Court ruling on the leadership crisis within the People’s Democratic Party has effectively brought an end to the party’s internal disputes.
According to Ireporter Online, the minister made this known while speaking to journalists at his residence in Abuja, noting that the apex court’s decision has resolved lingering factional tensions that had plagued the party.
Wike, a former governor of Rivers State, emphasized that the judgment has unified the party and settled controversies surrounding its leadership structure. He maintained that the ruling has laid to rest disagreements among opposing factions, affirming that the PDP now stands as one cohesive entity.
He also weighed in on the situation within the African Democratic Congress, indicating that the party’s leadership issues are yet to be resolved. He explained that the Supreme Court had directed the matter back to the Federal High Court, leaving the ADC still entangled in legal and internal challenges.
The minister further expressed strong reservations about certain political actors, clarifying that his concerns are directed at individuals rather than political parties. He stated that his disapproval stems from the role some figures have played in contributing to the nation’s challenges.
