Omah Lay shared that the breakup occurred during the Grammy Awards while Justin Bieber was performing, a moment that made the experience even more difficult and prevented him from fully enjoying the event or focusing on the music.

The personal heartbreak inspired a track on his upcoming album titled Don’t Love Me, which reflects his struggle to balance love and personal happiness. The singer explained that when he commits to something, he gives it his all, making it challenging to split his focus between personal matters and professional engagements.

He stated, “I thought it was the right relationship and I was going to have a baby. Every time I fall in love, I lose myself. While I was at the Grammy and Justin Bieber was performing, I was having a breakup and an embarrassing moment. I wasn’t even present at the Grammys because even before the show, I had already started having issues in my relationship. This was only a two-month-old relationship, but I gave it my all. I do not know how to do two things at a time. When I am into one thing, all of me is into that.
