I Would Cut Them Off” — Mr P Makes Sh*cking Statement On Family Loyalty
According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has reignited tensions surrounding his longstanding family dispute, stating that he no longer subscribes to the belief that “blood is thicker than water.”
The singer, who recently announced a change to his birthday date from November 18 to November 30 via his account, hinted that the rift between him and his brothers has resurfaced, stressing that his peace of mind now takes priority over family ties.
In a series of posts, Okoye dismissed claims that his wife influenced the renewed conflict, describing such suggestions as misleading and a distraction from what he called deep-rooted internal issues within the family. He insisted the dispute predates their marriages, noting that the alleged betrayal began long before external relationships were involved.
He wrote that no woman had any role in the controversy, adding that attempts to blame his wife were false and agenda-driven. He further stated that the emotional strain of the situation had been significant but maintained that he would not allow repeated betrayal to be ignored or normalised.
Okoye reiterated that even if his parents were alive and supported what he described as betrayal, he would still choose to distance himself in order to protect his mental wellbeing, insisting that personal boundaries were necessary.
He also revealed that the matter has now escalated into a court case, stressing that the legal process is ongoing as he continues to address what he described as over two decades of unresolved betrayal.
