Imasuagbon emphasized that individuals anointed by political godfathers lack the expertise, exposure, and passion required for effective governance and delivering democracy’s dividends to citizens.

During an interview on Arise News, the Edo-born politician expressed his dream of becoming the next governor of Edo State, with a commitment to leaving the state in a better condition than he found it.

Imasuagbon highlighted the deplorable state of Edo and attributed it to poor leadership, declaring that addressing these issues is crucial for the state’s progress.

In another political development, former Edo State Governor, Oserhemen A. Osunbor, issued a warning to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and the National Working Committee (NWC) members.

Osunbor urged caution against repeating mistakes that led to the party’s loss in the 2020 election. He specifically called for proper primaries without undue influence and manipulations, emphasizing the importance of fair and transparent processes in the upcoming governorship election in Edo State.
