After the couple revealed their child’s face, rumors surfaced claiming that gospel artist Nathaniel Bassey was the baby’s father. In a video posted on her Instagram on Tuesday, Mercy alleged that Eezeetee was behind the false narrative due to his animosity towards Bassey.
In her remarks, she echoed points from a letter released by her attorney, Pelumi Olajengbesi, on January 25. Mercy clarified that she had not initiated any legal action against her former manager concerning her music rights and accused Eezeetee of portraying himself as the victim while acting as a bully.
Mercy shared that the toxic environment created by Eezeetee ultimately led her to move from Lagos to Port Harcourt. She stated, “The online harassment and threats I face now pale in comparison to what I endured while with Eezeetee.”
She recounted a particularly distressing moment where Eezeetee told her, “I made you who you are, and I will destroy you.” This prompted her to feel fearful for her safety and to leave Lagos.
“I have endured bullying and threats. His current actions on social media are nothing compared to my past experiences. You withheld my royalties for two years; you are a bully and an oppressor,” she stated.
Mercy claimed that her “crime” was collaborating with Nathaniel Bassey, noting that Eezeetee harbored animosity towards him and even went as far as funding false reports about her son. “You paid bloggers to spread lies because you dislike Pastor Jerry Eze. Must I also fight your battles?” she questioned.
