Kebbi Hisbah, the religious police in Kebbi state, has shaved the head of a young man who had styled dreadlocks, citing that it contradicts the teachings of Islam.
The incident was reported on the official Facebook page of Kebbi Hisbah on Wednesday.

The post stated, “A young man with blessed hair has come under the custody of Hisbah, and he has shaved his head.
The hair he gathered goes against Islamic teachings and the cultural norms of the Hausa people. May Allah guide us.”
