Jandor Sets Date to Unveil New Political Party
The 2023 PDP governorship candidate in Lagos State, Olajide Adediran (Jandor), is expected to announce his new political party today, Monday, March 17, 2025.
A close associate revealed that Jandor held a strategic meeting with his political movement, Lagos4Lagos, at his office in Liberty House, Ikeja, on Sunday. During the meeting, he updated his supporters on his ongoing consultations with political stakeholders regarding his next move.
One of his allies, speaking to Western Post, said:
“Jandor had a meeting with us, the inner caucus of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, today in Liberty House. He informed us of what he had done so far after resigning from the PDP. And we assured him of our utmost support in the ongoing consultations. We are with him 100 percent.”
Since leaving the PDP, Jandor has been engaging with major political figures. Notably, he held a two-hour meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa last Monday. He also met with former Heads of State Ibrahim Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar, as well as ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, SDP’s Prince Adewole Adebayo, and other national leaders.
Despite these consultations, PDP officials, including the National Secretary, have reportedly urged Jandor to reconsider his resignation and return to the party.
With today’s expected announcement, all eyes are on Jandor’s next political move and how it will shape Lagos politics ahead of future elections.
