JUST IN: EPL Manager Leaves London Club ‘By Mutual Consent’

Antonio Conte

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has left the club “by mutual consent,” with the club struggling to finish in the top four of the Premier League, the club announced on Sunday.

Following a 3-3 draw at Southampton, the Italian, who takes over in November 2021, went on a rant about the club before the international break.

Conte leaves Spurs in fourth place in the Premier League, but only two points ahead of fifth-placed Newcastle, who have two games in hand on the London club in the race for Champions League qualification.

“We have 10 Premier League games remaining and we have a fight on our hands for a Champions League place,” Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy said in a statement.

“We all need to pull together. Everyone has to step up to ensure the highest possible finish for our club and amazing, loyal supporters.”

Stellini previously filled in on the bench for Conte this season while the 53-year-old was recovering from gallbladder surgery.

Ryan Mason, a former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder who served as interim manager in 2021, will take over as assistant coach.
