JUST IN: Five Parties Collapse Structures For Atiku (DETAILS)

Five political parties have collapsed their structures into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and thrown weight behind the party’s flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar.

They are the African Democratic Congress, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), the Action Alliance (AA), the Action Peoples Party (APP), the National Rescue Movement (NRM), and the Action Alliance (AA) (ADC).

The parties announced their decision during the PDP’s grand finale rally in Adamawa State.

Speaking on behalf of the other national chairmen of the political parties, Yusuf Dantele, National Chairman of the APM, stated that the parties decided to adopt the PDP presidential torch bearer because he is the best candidate for the job.

He did, however, state that the parties will run in the governorship, national, and state assembly elections.

Delegates from other political parties, including members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, also joined the PDP.

Governors Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), and Bala Mohammed (Bauchi) attended the rally at Ribadu Square in Jimeta-Yola.

Atiku and his running mate, Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, are wrapping up their campaigns seven days before the presidential election on February 25.
