JUST IN: Former Nigerian Minister Is Dead (PHOTO)

Demola Seriki, Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain and former minister, has died.

The politician from Lagos was said to have died in Madrid, Spain. He was 63 years old.

On Thursday, his children signed a notice announcing his death. According to the notice, he died in the early hours of the morning in Madrid, Spain.

“It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude to Almighty Allah that we announce the loss of our much-loved and admired patriarch, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, His Excellency, Ambassador Demola Seriki, on December 15, 2022.

“He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Madrid, Spain,” the notice said.

He was a politician, teacher, businessman, and public administrator who was born on November 30, 1959. He was the Nigerian ambassador to Spain from January 2021 until his death, with concurrent accreditation as Nigeria’s permanent representative to the United Nations World Tourism Organization. He was previously Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence.
