JUST IN: Gunmen Shoot PDP Chairman

Unidentified gunmen attacked and shot Charles Oke, chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the Ogbaku ward of Imo State’s Mbaitoli Local Government Area, on Saturday night.

According to reports, the incident occurred in his hometown of Umunomo Nsokpo in the Ogbaku community.

According to sources, it was politically motivated, while others blamed it on the various criminal gangs in the Ogbaku area.

An eyewitness said Oke was shot several times by the hoodlums who laid an ambush in his housing waiting for his arrival.

However, at the time of filing this report, the victim was said to have been taken to an unnamed hospital.
