Just In: President Tinubu-Launches Presidential Economic-Coordinating Committee (Details)

President Bola Tinubu has initiated the establishment of a Presidential Economic Coordinating Committee aimed at rejuvenating the economy within the shortest possible timeframe.

The committee, which includes prominent figures from the private sector such as Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Group, Tony Elumelu, Chairman of Heirs Holdings, and Wale Edun, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, among others, is expected to inject over N2 trillion into the Nigerian economy for revitalization.

President Tinubu has directed the allocation of specific funds, including N250 billion for Health and Social Welfare and N500 billion for Energy and Power, during the committee’s inaugural meeting held on Thursday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

These initiatives are aimed at addressing the country’s inflationary trends, which have sparked concerns among Nigerians.
