Justice Ajumogobia’s Daughter Found Dead In Lagos Apartment: Police Take Action

Chukwu Ofili-Ajumogobia, daughter of Soboma and Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, has been found dead under suspicious circumstances in her Lagos apartment. The tragic discovery was made on Wednesday morning, July 31, 2024.

The deceased, a medical professional commonly known as Chuchu, was reportedly murdered at her residence in Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos. According to Lagos State police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin, her body was found at the entrance of her home.

A family source, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed that Chuchu was killed overnight, and her body was discovered outside the gate of her residence. Evidence suggests that new domestic staff, employed less than a month ago, might have been involved in staging the scene to make it appear as though the incident occurred outside the house. The source noted signs of an attempted cleanup of blood inside the residence and the compound.

Hundeyin confirmed that three domestic staff members have been arrested in connection with the case. They have been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department, which has taken over the investigation. Hundeyin stated, “Three domestic staff have been arrested and are now in the custody of the State Criminal Investigation Department. The investigation into Aribemchukwu’s death is ongoing.”

This incident follows a similar recent tragedy involving a final-year student at Ebonyi State University, who was found dead in her hostel under distressing circumstances.
