Kaduna Mourns As Moro’a-Traditional Leader Tagwai-Sambo Is Laid To Rest (Details)

The remains of the late chief of Moro’a, in Kaura Government Area Of Kaduna State, Mr. Tagwai Sambo, were on Saturday laid to rest.

The first-class traditional ruler, aged 88, was buried in his hometown, Manchok, Kaura LGA of Kaduna State after 58 years on the throne.

The funeral service, attended by dignitaries including Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Hadiza Balarebe and former Gov Ahmed Makarfi, was held at the Manchok Township Square.

In her tribute, Deputy Gov Hadiza Balarabe commended Sambo’s commitment to peace, stating, “He was not only a custodian of our tradition but a beacon of peace.”

The late widow, Alisabatu Sambo, described him as a humble man who always prioritized others, saying, “his life was a beautiful journey, marked by the love he gave and the lives he touched.”

Senator Sunday Katung praised Sambo’s leadership, saying that he would be remembered for his laudable contributions to the growth and development of Kaduna State.
