According to Ireporter Online, Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has dismissed Buba Galadima from his role as Chairman of the Governing Council of Kano State Polytechnic. The development was confirmed in a statement released on Saturday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin Tofa.

The statement indicated that Governor Yusuf approved the appointment of the Emir of Gaya, Alhaji Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, as the new Chairman of the polytechnic’s Governing Council. While the tenure of the council is traditionally three years, Galadima’s appointment was terminated ahead of schedule as part of ongoing reforms intended to enhance the institution’s performance.

“These reforms are aimed at aligning the institution with the administration’s Kano First Agenda,” the statement said. Despite the removal, Governor Yusuf expressed gratitude to Galadima for his contributions, wishing him success in his future endeavors.

The governor further urged the newly appointed chairman to leverage his experience and leadership to reposition Kano State Polytechnic for greater academic and administrative excellence.
