Kano Police Capture Wife And Allies Of Deadly Chadian Terrorist

The Kano State Police Command has arrested the wife of a suspected Chadian terrorist, Ahmad Adam Abba, along with two of his associates.

Among those apprehended were a 42-year-old Chadian national, Jibrin Mohammed, and a Nigerian accomplice.

Kiyawa revealed that law enforcement agencies have intensified surveillance efforts in vulnerable areas to combat crime and prevent emerging security threats.

“Based on intelligence reports, we recovered Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), and further investigations are ongoing. Ahmad Adam Abba, a wanted Chadian terrorist responsible for the killing of 17 people in the Republic of Chad, was identified as attempting to establish a terrorist base in Kano,” Kiyawa stated.

He added that Abba managed to flee Nigeria, but authorities successfully apprehended three of his close associates, including his wife.

The police spokesperson reassured the public that the command remains committed to dismantling criminal networks, ensuring that no safe haven exists for criminals in the state.

“In addition to these arrests, we have intensified intelligence-gathering efforts across various locations. Our teams are working closely with other intelligence agencies and local communities to swiftly identify and neutralize any potential security threats,” he added.
