Abdulahfiz Toriola, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transportation, issued a statement on Tuesday detailing these closures.

CMD entrance will be shut down for a period of 3 days starting from Wednesday, August 9, for the purpose of laying the final wearing course.

Furthermore, the Access Road to Isheri-Olowora on the Shagamu-bound carriageway, near the pedestrian Bridge at Berger bus stop, will be closed for 3 days starting from Thursday, August 10.

Toriola also mentioned that on Wednesday, August 9, preparations will commence for the reconstruction of the remaining half of the outer lane of the carriageway.

Toriola explained, “During the construction works, a traffic management plan will be implemented. Starting from Thursday, August 10, 2023, drivers traveling from the expressway to CMD Road will have the following alternative routes.”

Motorists using Ojota Interchange will be able to reach CMD Road through the access road after the FMW weighbridge to continue their journeys. Additionally, motorists on Dr. Nurudeen Olowopopo can connect to CMD Road via Otedola Estate.

For those heading towards Isheri-Olowora and planning to exit the expressway via the access before the Pedestrian Bridge at Berger bus stop, they will need to utilize the next exit by New Garage to reach Isheri-Olowora.

Toriola encouraged drivers to cooperate with the deployed traffic management personnel, who will guide them towards their intended destinations during this period.
