Renowned Nigerian comedian, Olanrewaju Gregory, popularly known as Larry J, brought Eko Hotel and Suites to life on Christmas Day as he hosted his annual comedy showcase on Thursday, December 25. According to Ireporter Online, the highly anticipated event attracted a large audience and ran from 6 p.m. until midnight, climaxing with a fireworks display ignited by Larry J alongside colleagues and guests at Car Park B.

Reflecting on the success of the show, Larry J described the event as a wholesome, family-friendly experience designed to celebrate laughter and creativity. He explained that beyond entertainment, the show featured a comedy competition that rewarded the winner with a ₦1 million cash prize, despite the absence of external sponsorship. He noted that the initiative was driven by a commitment to supporting emerging talents and promoting ethical comedy within the industry, adding that many gifted comedians are in need of credible platforms to showcase their craft.

The comedian disclosed that several respected figures in the entertainment industry were present at the event, including comedy veteran Ali Baba and popular actor Deyemi Okanlawon, who attended purely to enjoy the show.
