Linda Ikeji Denies Changing Six-Year-Old Son’s Surname Amidst Rumors (View-Text)

Nigerian media personality Linda Ikeji has refuted claims that she changed her six-year-old son Jayce’s surname. The rumor emerged on Tuesday after Ikeji shared a vacation post featuring her son and his cousin Ryan, where she referred to her son using her own last name.

Following the post, some netizens speculated that Ikeji had altered her son’s surname from that of his father, Sholaye Jeremi, to her own.

Addressing these claims, Linda Ikeji clarified that her son’s surname has always been Ikeji, and it will be up to him to decide if he wants to change it when he is older.

On her Instagram story, she wrote: “Just to be clear. I’ve never ever had to change my son’s surname. He’s been an Ikeji right from when he was born! Where do I have the time or patience to be changing names? Changing it and keeping his surname (Ikeji) will be up to him when he ages. Food for my Junior colleagues.”
