List Of States Set To Enjoy 10% Electricity Tariff Discount As Ramadan Promo

KEDCO has pledged its commitment to enhancing electricity provision across the stated states and introduced a 10% discount promotion to ease the financial burden on its customers while they fulfill their electricity obligations.

Under the announced discount scheme, both non-maximum demand (NMD) post-paid and prepaid customers will receive a 10% discount for vending and subsequent billing throughout the month.

Moreover, customers who settle their historical outstanding bills will receive discounts of 15% and 10% for non-maximum demand (NMD) and maximum demand (MD), respectively.

The Managing Director/CEO of KEDCO, Abubakar Yusuf, confirmed this latest development, emphasizing the company’s commitment to improved power supply during the Holy Month of Ramadan. He assured customers of active engagement with relevant stakeholders to enhance power allocation to KEDCO’s franchise.

Yusuf also addressed recent power supply shortages, attributing them to low power generation nationwide due to gas constraints, resulting in low load allocation. KEDCO is working with relevant stakeholders to improve load allocation and power supply, especially during Ramadan.

Additionally, while repairs at Dan Agundi are underway, KEDCO is in discussions with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to secure additional energy supply for its franchise area.

Yusuf urged community members to support the company in protecting power installations, emphasizing that vandalism not only poses a threat but also hampers the ability to deliver uninterrupted power supply to certain customers.
