Babayomi claimed that Governor Makinde has been more focused on promoting a false image on social media than addressing the state’s real issues.

Babayomi described Makinde as the “most packaged social media governor in Nigeria,” emphasizing that the governor has done little to improve key sectors like education, agriculture, and infrastructure. He expressed disappointment with the state’s educational system, highlighting poor learning conditions for students and teachers, with some schools still using dilapidated classrooms. He further criticized the lack of progress in agriculture, given Oyo State’s vast land resources.

“The administration of Governor Makinde has been disastrous. There is nothing to be proud of in Oyo State. What we see are just social media packages,” Babayomi stated. He also noted that the state’s roads remain in poor condition despite repeated claims of improvements, with some roads having been graded multiple times within five years.

According to Babayomi, the people of Oyo State have grown disillusioned with the governor, who he believes has done nothing substantial for the state’s development, focusing instead on media portrayals that do not reflect reality.
