Muyiwa Ademola Explains Absence From Cousin Allwell Ademola’s Burial
Popular Nollywood actor and filmmaker Muyiwa Ademola has revealed why he was absent from the burial of his cousin, the late actress Allwell Ademola, which took place in Lagos.
According to Ireporter Online, the burial ceremony was held from Thursday, January 8, to Friday, January 9, at a cemetery in the Yaba area of Lagos, drawing numerous notable figures from the Yoruba movie industry who came to pay their final respects. Fans, however, quickly noticed the absence of Muyiwa Ademola at the event.
Following the ceremony, Muyiwa Ademola addressed his absence on social media, explaining that he was out of the country at the time and could not return in time to witness his cousin’s final journey.
In an emotional tribute, the actor reflected on the fragility of life and expressed his grief over Allwell Ademola’s passing. He also sent his greetings to departed family members, including his father Awofe Ademola and Uncle Adetokunbo Ademola. Muyiwa Ademola wrote:
“It’s a final goodbye, Couz. The saddest part is my not being in the country to witness your final journey back home. Your death is just another painful reminder that tomorrow is never promised! Each day we live is deducted from the days we would live on earth; each birthday we celebrate takes us closer to our final birthday. May we live long, amen.”
The actor’s post drew an outpouring of condolences and prayers from fans and social media users, expressing support for the Ademola family during their time of mourning.
