According to Ireporter Online, former President Goodluck Jonathan has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, describing him as a “Gentleman President” and a man of rare integrity whose leadership left a lasting imprint on Nigeria’s democratic journey.

Jonathan made the remarks in a Facebook post on Tuesday to commemorate the 16th anniversary of Yar’Adua’s passing, reflecting on their close working relationship during his time as Vice President under the late leader. He noted that Yar’Adua was more than a boss to him, but a brother and trusted partner in national service.

He described the late president as a humble and principled leader whose administration was guided by a shared commitment to inclusiveness, justice, and respect for the rule of law.
