Naira Rains As Saliu Mustapha Foundation Empowers 600 Indigenes Of Ilorin Emirate

The atmosphere of Banquet Hall in Ilorin was extremely echoed today, when Mallam Saliu Mustapha, the Chairman of Saliu Mustapha Foundation put a smile on the faces of not less than six hundred (600) indigenes of Ilorin Emirate, with cash, amounting to Two Hundred Million Naira.

Beneficiaries of the multi-million empowerment program were drawn notably from Kwara Central Senatorial District, comprising of Ilorin West , Ilorin East, Ilorin South and Asa Local Government Area of the state.

They were empowered with cash, ranging from #100,000 to 500,000, depending on the scope of their respective businesses. Many of them who were beneficiaries of the previous empowerment program from the foundation was given additional cash to expand their businesses, having used the previous one judiciously.

Mallam Saliu Mustapha, while delivering his speech, emphasised that the purpose of the empowerment is to alleviate his people from the shackles of poverty and make them to employers of labour, so as to reduce the level of unemployment in the state.

While extolling the unrepentant philanthropist, the APC State Chairman, Chief Sunday Fagbemi Adeniran described the gesture as ‘unprecedented’.

“what Mallam Saliu Mustapha has done today is unprecedented. No one among the people in a position in the state has done as much as what he has done”, APC Chairman said.

He, therefore, prays that almighty God will continue to strengthen him to do more.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Aweda Ajarat said the gesture caught her unaware. She thanked her benefactor and pray that Allah will continue to bless him.

The gesture was also extended to development Associations, under the umbrella of Ilorin Emirate Youths Development Association (IEYDA), where the benefited associations went home with #200,000 cash.

In attendance was the governor of Kwara state, His Excellency Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, the traditional rulers, religious leaders, Elders and leaders of the party, party faithful and members of the public.
