Nearly 3 Years After Mohbad’s Death, Primeboy Begs For His Burial

A close associate of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, Primeboy, has called for the immediate burial of the artiste, nearly three years after his passing.

According to Ireporter Online, Primeboy disclosed that Mohbad’s remains have been kept in a mortuary since September 12, 2023, as burial arrangements continue to face delays. He made the appeal in a video message, passionately urging the singer’s family, members of the public, and relevant authorities to allow the burial to proceed.

In the emotional plea, Primeboy stressed that the prolonged delay was distressing, noting that the late singer deserved a dignified and befitting farewell. He appealed for unity and understanding among all parties involved to bring closure to the matter.

Mohbad’s death had previously triggered nationwide outrage, protests, and multiple investigations. Reports indicate that autopsy examinations, police investigations, and ongoing legal proceedings have contributed to the delay in final burial rites, amid disagreements within the family and intense public scrutiny surrounding the circumstances of his death.
