Fredrick Nwabufo, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Public Engagement, made this revelation on Tuesday.

He explained that the proposed bill, titled the National Social Housing Fund (NSHF), will guarantee that all Nigerians, regardless of their economic status, have access to decent housing.

Nwabufo further mentioned that a memo regarding the bill would soon be presented to the Federal Executive Council (FEC), with funding sources for the housing project including budget allocations, donations from philanthropic organizations, corporate social responsibility contributions, and voluntary donations from citizens.

“The National Social Housing Fund (NSHF) aligns with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aiming to provide affordable housing for vulnerable and disadvantaged Nigerians. This is a significant step towards addressing the country’s housing crisis,” Nwabufo stated in a post on his X handle.

President Tinubu is tackling the nation’s housing challenges with a focused and strategic approach, recognizing the urgency of the situation. His administration is committed to offering affordable and functional housing solutions to the citizenry
