As a result, Nwokocha’s results from the 100m, 200m, and sprint relay have been invalidated, and the issue of her anti-doping infractions has been referred to the Athletics Integrity Unit for potential further sanctions.
Following the decision, England’s women’s 4×100 meters relay team, which finished second behind Nigeria, has been upgraded to the gold medal position. England retains the Commonwealth relay title, with Jamaica being awarded second place and Australia taking the bronze.
The Commonwealth Games is a multi-sport event held every four years, featuring nations that were part of the former British Empire, now known as the Commonwealth of Nations.
