According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian filmmaker and producer Todimu Adegoke has been selected to participate in the 2026 European Film Market (EFM) Toolbox Programme, an esteemed initiative held alongside the Berlinale.

The programme is designed to support underrepresented producers worldwide by providing direct access to the global film market and equipping participants with the tools necessary to advance their careers internationally. It combines personalized mentorship from industry experts with comprehensive market training tailored to emerging producers.

Running from November 2025 to February 2026, the initiative includes both virtual and in-person sessions in Berlin. Participants will engage with international buyers, financiers, and collaborators, gaining opportunities to forge cross-cultural partnerships.

Unlike open-call programmes, selection is conducted through nominations by partner organisations. Adegoke was nominated by Joy Efe Odiete, CEO of Blue Pictures Entertainment and an award-winning African film distributor and producer with over 20 years of experience in the film industry. Odiete has been instrumental in promoting African cinema globally and mentoring emerging talent through initiatives such as the NextGen Initiative and the biennial NextGen Mini Conference.
