According to Ireporter Online, residents and businesses in Oyo, Kwara, Ogun, Ibadan, and Osun states are currently experiencing intermittent power supply and prolonged outages. The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has confirmed the disruptions, attributing them to a reduction in load allocation from the national grid, which has constrained electricity availability across its service areas.

In a statement released by its management, IBEDC expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to affected customers.
