The announcement was made by the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, in Abuja, marking her 100th day in office. In a statement released by Galaxy Backbone spokesperson, Chidi Okpala, the unveiling of these platforms highlights the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s dedication to promoting digital governance and fostering innovation in the Federal Civil Service.

During the initial presentation of the Govmail interface, Walson-Jack praised the initiative, calling it a transformative development that will enhance governance and improve the efficiency of Nigeria’s civil service. She described Govmail as “unbelievably WOW!” and a game-changer for streamlining communication and providing secure access to other government digital services.

Professor Ibrahim Adeyanju, Managing Director of Galaxy Backbone, expressed pride in the development, emphasizing that Govmail goes beyond just email, offering a secure and efficient communication channel to empower civil servants and advance the nation’s public sector transformation.

This initiative is seen as a significant achievement by the leadership of the Head of Service and Galaxy Backbone.
