Nigerian Politician Dies After Attending A Function (PHOTO)

Jacob Funmi Ogunmola, the Accord Party’s candidate for the Federal constituency of Atisbo/Saki East/Saki West, has died.

According to sources, Ogunmola, an ex-Chairman of Atisbo local government, died shortly after attending a function in Saki.

According to reports, the politician died while being transferred from Saki, his base, to Lagos.

Another source stated that he had just completed a program in Saki when he complained of feeling ill, prompting the decision to transport him to Lagos.

In a Facebook post, the Ago Are-born politician was seen telling his host that he was not used to arriving late to events, but that he had a crisis.

Wasiu Owolabi, Ogunmola’s successor as council chairman, died in a car accident a few months ago.
