The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has firmly refuted reports alleging that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has failed to recognize the leadership of former Senate President David Mark.

According to iReporter Online, ADC’s National Publicity Secretary, Bola Abdullahi, issued a statement on Wednesday describing the claims as entirely false, misleading, and aimed at distracting Nigerians from the party’s mission to rescue the nation.

He urged the public to disregard the claims and instead remain focused on mobilizing citizens toward the task of national transformation. According to iReporter Online, the false narrative had sparked confusion after reports suggested that INEC had insisted on recognizing the party’s old executive.

Earlier reports claimed that despite a resolution by the ADC’s National Executive Committee (NEC) to dissolve the existing National Working Committee and establish an interim leadership, INEC maintained that the former leadership remains in charge.
