Osimhen’s Future At Galatasaray: Manager Confirms Release Clause And Club’s Plans For January
Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has revealed that the club is committed to doing everything possible to retain Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. Speaking to the press on Sunday, Buruk confirmed that Osimhen’s contract includes a release clause, allowing him to move to any club of his…READ MORE…
choice during the January transfer window.
However, Buruk emphasized that the final decision lies with Osimhen, who has expressed his desire to stay for the remainder of the season. The coach reassured fans that Galatasaray is willing to stretch its financial limits to ensure Osimhen remains at the club if the player chooses to stay.
“Osimhen intends to stay until the end of the season,” Buruk stated. “He has made it clear that he wants to stay, and we will support him in that decision. While there is a clause for transfers in January, the key factor is what the player wants. If he decides to remain, Galatasaray will do everything necessary to keep him, even if it means going beyond our financial limits. A transfer is unlikely for now, but a move could happen at the end of the season.”
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray from Napoli on the final day of the transfer window, has had an impressive start in Turkey, scoring 8 goals and providing 4 assists in just 9 appearances across all competitions.
