Fashola Reveals Why He Encouraged Aides And Commissioners To Join Social Clubs In Lagos
Former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola shared the rationale behind his decision to ask aides and commissioners to join social clubs during his administration from 2007 to 2015.
Speaking at the 50th-anniversary lecture of Eko Club, Fashola explained that this move aimed to help his employees gain insights into public concerns and educate people on government policies in casual settings.
The ex-governor emphasized the role of social clubs in promoting social understanding and encouraged a focus on sports as a means to tackle youth unemployment through inter-club competitions.
