Nollywood actress Uchenna Nnanna has recounted surviving a life-threatening road accident in 2013, revealing that she spent weeks in the hospital after doctors fought to stabilise her condition.

According to Ireporter Online, the actress made the revelation during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, where she reflected on some of the most painful moments of her life, including the near-fatal crash and the devastating loss of her elder sister in the 2005 Sosoliso plane disaster.

Nnanna disclosed that the accident occurred on a Monday and left her in critical condition, prompting medical personnel to place her on oxygen and administer emergency treatment in an effort to save her life.

She revealed that she remained hospitalised for about three weeks before recovering enough to be discharged.

The actress also revisited the tragic death of her elder sister, Olaedo Nnanna, who was among the victims of the Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 crash at the Port Harcourt International Airport on December 10, 2005.

The aviation disaster claimed the lives of 108 of the 110 people on board and remains one of Nigeria’s deadliest air tragedies.

Nnanna said the loss of her sister had a profound impact on her, leaving her with a deep fear of travelling by air that lasted for several years before she eventually overcame it.

She further disclosed that the deaths of her sister and later both parents marked one of the darkest chapters of her life, forcing her to come to terms with becoming an orphan.
