Ovia Decides : Dennis Idahosa’s Victory A Testament Of Superlative Performance
The recent Nigerian electoral contest took a new turn with the formation of a powerful third force, represented by the Obidient movement, which swept away many gladiators from the major political parties.
Denying or downplaying the importance of the movement in the South is akin to engaging in self-deception because even governors who were serving as governors were unable to win a senatorial seat.
Hon Dennis Idahosa, the lawmaker representing Ovia Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, is one of few who survived the onslaught of the Obidient movement as a serving member of the National Assembly.
Dennis Idahosa was everywhere working on projects that were focused on the people and empowering them, therefore it is impossible to separate the reality of his survival from the fact that he performed admirably in his capacity as the people’s representative.
Dennis demonstrated to everyone the genuine meaning of public service by putting the needs of the people first and instilling trust in his followers.
Dennis Idahosa defeated not just the little-known LP party candidate, but also the PDP candidate Omosede Igbinedion, Dennis Idahosa’s predecessor in parliament.
The moral of the day is that no matter what capacity we find ourselves in as political leaders and representatives of the people, we must do our best to meet the needs and desires of the people, since we never know when the tide will shift and wash you away from your elevated position.
Once again congratulations to Dennis Idahosa.
