PDP’S DESPERATE PROPAGANDA HAS EXPIRED – MONDAY OKPEBHOLO’S FIGHT AGAINST INSECURITY IS UNDENIABLE

In yet another desperate attempt to tarnish the reputation of APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the opposition has resorted to circulating a doctored video falsely portraying him as promising “insecurity” during a campaign speech. This malicious and fabricated content is nothing more than a last-ditch effort by the PDP to mislead the people of Edo State.

Let it be clear: the original video, available for all to see, showcases Senator Monday Okpebholo unequivocally stating that “fighting insecurity”is a key pillar of his five-point agenda. This fake narrative, attempting to make him appear as if he promotes insecurity, is not only absurd but also wicked. Everywhere Okpebholo has spoken—whether at campaign grounds or in one-on-one interviews—he has consistently reiterated that addressing the security challenges facing Edo is one of his top priorities.

In fact, Okpebholo’s commitment to combating insecurity is evident from his actions. When Esan land, the homeland of both Okpebholo and his opponent, Asue Ighodalo, faced serious security threats, Okpebholo stepped up. He donated “₦5 million” and “five Sienna buses” to bolster local security efforts, while Ighodalo contributed a mere ₦100,000. Who, then, is truly committed to ensuring the safety of the people? Is it the man who gave millions and vehicles or the one who offered a token sum?

Asue Ighodalo himself admitted in a recent BBC interview that Edo State, under Governor Obaseki, cannot provide basic security, lamenting the plight of farmers who can no longer work safely. He didn’t stop there—he openly criticized the state’s lack of electricity, rising poverty, water shortages, and other fundamental issues. Yet, this is the same Ighodalo who served as Obaseki’s Chief Economic Adviser for the past eight years. If Edo is struggling with these critical problems, how can the very architect of these failures now claim to be the solution?

The people of Edo are not fooled by these low-level propaganda tactics. Every lie has an expiration date, and the PDP’s lies are no different. As we approach September 21, their campaign built on deceit and misinformation will crumble. The people know the truth—our mumu don do!

We remain focused on the mission to bring security, stability, and progress to Edo State under the leadership of Senator Monday Okpebholo and Dennis Idahosa. The truth is on our side, and as they say, “Our God Pass Them”. The PDP’s malicious attempts to discredit our candidate will not work. The people of Edo have made up their minds, and come election day, they will put an end to this charade.

The PDP can spread lies, but they cannot erase the facts—Okpebholo is committed to fighting insecurity and building a safer Edo for all.
