In a statement issued on Tuesday, NANS Lagos Chairman Abdul-Raheem Abdul-Quadri and Public Relations Officer Ridwan Ajayi described the landlord’s petition as “malicious and deceptive.” The association revealed that Attadada had previously reported the landlord to the Igando Police Division for alleged harassment and intimidation, but the landlord allegedly ignored police invitations and instead filed a counter-petition at Zone 2 Command, leading to her arrest on July 18, 2025.

NANS Lagos, in collaboration with the LASU Students’ Union (LASUSU), swiftly engaged AIG Fayoade, who facilitated the student’s release on bail by 6:00 a.m. the following day. The AIG later convened a meeting involving the student, her parents, the landlord, LASUSU representatives, and NANS officials to review the case before transferring it to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police for further investigation.
